Butler Library is a hallmark of Columbia University, the only member of the Ivy League in New York City.

New York University is centered around Washington Square Park in Greenwich Village.

This all-day tour will bring students to two of the world’s top institutions of higher education: Columbia University and New York University. Students will have a chance to tour the campuses, talk with current students, and see if studying in New York City might be for them. The tour will begin at Columbia, after which participants will have lunch in Harlem, and get to see some of the most significant sites in America’s most historic Black neighborhood. After lunch, students will continue to NYU and have a chance to see Washington Square Park and other sites in Greenwich Village neighborhood, where NYU is found. Note that the morning and afternoon portions of this tour are not available as a half day option (as Columbia and Harlem are located on the far side of New York City from Princeton). On Day 6, this tour will be slightly abbreviated, and will not include additional sightseeing time in Greenwich Village, so that participants can return to the Westin by 5:30. Otherwise, this tour leaves at 8:30, arrives at Columbia at 10am, features two hours on the campus there, 2 hours for bus transfers and lunch in Harlem, and then allows for slightly over 2 hours in Greenwich Village and NYU. This tour is offered on Day 2, Day 5, and Day 6.
