Grand Central Station is regarded as the most beautiful train station in the Americas.

The UN Headquarters was built on the east side of Manhattan on land provided by the Rockefeller family.

How about a true day in New York? Start by taking the train into the city like a typical commuter. Then transfer from Penn Station to Grand Central Station (the only time during the Olympiad that we will be taking the New York City Subway). Grand Central is one of the world’s most beautiful train stations, and you’ll have a chance to take it all in before walking over to the UN Headquarters for a tour of the General Assembly, Security Council, and other historic venues. After the UN, we’ll stop at a classic New York deli for lunch, after which participants can either continue on to the Museum of Modern Art or return to Princeton.
