Feeling a need to burn off some steam? Berlin is a great city for running (and site of where the marathon world record was set in 2014!), and the climate in the summer is usually very pleasant. Students interested in going for 30-45 minute runs on these four days can meet Olympiad staff for runs around the area near the Youth Hostel. On Day 3, those who are interested can run back from the Berlin Brandenburg International School to the Hostel instead of taking the train. In July in Berlin, there is still sufficient light even at that hour. We’ll run at an easy pace of about 5-5.5 miles per hour or 8-9 kilometers per hour.
