On July 25th, the first day of the IHO, the infamous and dreaded Battery Exam was taken. The Exam was a mandatory part of the Olympiad, necessary in order to determine the overall winner of the Olympiad. The Exam consisted of 400 multiple-choice questions, which were divided into 4 sections, each with 100 questions. Students had 30 minutes to finish each section. Each section was on a different part of the world: The first was Europe, the second was Americas/Oceana, the third was Africa, and the Fourth was Asia/Middle East. The Battery Exam was taken in the Nassau room of the Westin Hotel. As of 7:35 pm, July 26th, the winner has not been announced.
