The historic Charles Bridge in the heart of Prague.

1. Post-Tour Now to Visit Dresden and Prague – July 25-28
The Olympiad Post-Tour will now visit Dresden and Prague and not Belgium and the Netherlands as previously announced. This decision was made after careful consideration of the travel times involved. In particular, we will be able to spend proportionally more time exploring cities and sites this way, and we believe that a tour with three days of sightseeing is also likely to appeal to more families. This tour will explore the historic and beautiful cities of Dresden and Prague, as well as a stop at Karlštejn Castle. For further details, please see the Post-Tour page here.

2. Post-Day Trip Option to Dresden Now Available – July 25
For families that are looking for a shorter post-Olympiad tour option, it will also be possible to just visit Dresden on July 25, returning to Berlin that evening, for an additional night at the Hotel MOA. Families can then depart Berlin any time on July 26 (or directly from Dresden in the early evening of July 25 before the bus returns to Berlin). For further details, please see the Post-Day Trip page here.

Dresden is known as “Florence on the Elbe” for its rich cultural heritage.

3. Additional Destinations Added to Pre-Tour – July 13-16
The Pre-Tour to Munich and Nuremberg is now confirmed to visit Leipzig, with a stop planned at the Bach Museum, as well as the storybook medieval town of Rothenburg ob der Tauber, and the German-German History Museum focusing on the Cold War division of Germany on the former East/West German border. For further details, please see the Pre-Tour page here. Note that the Pre-Tour is separate from the Pre-Day Trip to Potsdam and Wittenberg on July 17, but families are certainly welcome and able to do both.
