The 6th International History Olympiad was held from July 20-26 at École Jeannine Manuel in Paris, France. The 2025 International History Olympiad consisted not only of a week of competitions and field trips throughout Paris and Versailles, but also featured a three-day Pre-Tour to Normandy and Brittany, and a week-long Post-Tour to the South of France. International Academic Competitions, the organization in charge of the International History Olympiad, is already looking forward to the 7th International History Olympiad, which will be held in Summer 2027. Most likely, the Olympiad will be held in London, though other cities under consideration include Berlin, or less likely, Tokyo. The next Olympiad will very likely include a host hotel, in addition to one or more host schools, as it continues to grow. In 2023, the Olympiad had 258 Competing Students, and in 2025 it had 432.
