Competition Type: Individual, 3 preliminary rounds and 2 playoff rounds, each consisting of 30 (Collegiate, V, and JV) or 25 (MS and Elementary) tossup questions.

Numerous students enjoy studying the culture and history of ancient civilizations. This Bee-style tournament will comprehensively test your knowledge of Mesopotamia, Egypt, Greece, Rome, China, India, Africa, and more. Answerlines will range from the familiar to the challenging, and will cover all aspects of the ancient world. Alea iacta est!
Note on distribution: This competition will include questions on the history of Europe and the Middle East through the year 600, the rest of Africa and Asia through the year 1000, and the Americas through the fall of the Incan Empire.
